Lets get something straight right from the off. There’s no point in putting thought, time, money and effort into promoting ANYTHING, by ANY METHOD, that is sub-standard. It can be done, but in a world where information and feedback can circle the globe in a day, it’s a futile undertaking.
You have to start then by having something good to promote.
There are only two things that can be sold – Goods and Services
Goods can be physical – for example furniture, and you may be either the manufacturer, or an online retailer; or egoods such as downloadable software or music
Similarly services could mean the provision of labour, for example a security company providing door staff, or a restaurant providing food. Services can also be paper / online based, such as accounting or business broking.
Any business can benefit from having an online presence, in fact, not having one could prove to be very costly – when the business is eventually sold.
